This Weekend in Worship:
Preaching: Pastor Craig Brown
Sermon: "What is important to know? Gaining Wisdom for Life"
The Gospel of Jesus provides wisdom about life. We learn all the ways we know what is good or right, but we do not do it. We gain insight into our hearts and the misguided motivations we carry. We learn modesty about our own thoughts and actions, even our best intentions. We learn that Jesus Christ comes to set us free from self-defeating ways, and that there is wisdom in God's forgiveness for a new way of living.
Scriptures: Romans 7:15-25a, Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30 NRSV
