October 14-15, 2017

10/12/2017

This Weekend in Worship:

Please join us for our special Healing Services at all worship times. Please consider bringing someone with you who is in need of healing; a neighbor, co-worker, friend, or family member. These services are for healing of every kind, whether physical, spiritual, or emotional.

Preaching:
Pastor Craig Brown
Sermon: "How does Jesus mean freedom? Living in the forgiveness of God"
There is no condemnation for those who live in Christ. God sent Christ to accomplish what the law was unable to do: condemn sin and free us from its slavery. The Spirit now empowers proper actions and values in our lives and gives us the promise of resurrected life.
Scriptures: Romans 8:1-11, Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23 NRSV
Special Music: 9a: Adult Choir 11:15a: â€‹MS Choir & Bells

Luther and the Reformation – Rick Steves, LFC
In this breathtaking PBS Broadcast filmed on location in Europe Rick Steves takes on the journey of a humble monk to key sites relating to the Reformation including Erfurt, Wittenberg, and Rome and explores the complicated political world of 16th-century Europe — from indulgences to iconoclasts, and from the printing press to the Counter-Reformation. It's a story of power, rebellion, and faith that you'll never forget.
