This Weekend in Worship ...
Preaching: Pastor Steve Knudson
Sermon: "Bearing One Another's Burdens" Christ “fulfilled” the Law through his self-sacrificial death. The Galatians, then, are being summoned to re-enact the event by which Christ brought the Law to fulfillment by the sharing of stresses and sorrows, the practice of economic sharing, and all kinds of imaginative ways of becoming slaves to one another. It is through service that Christ has brought the Law to its intended fulfillment; consequently, we participate in that fulfillment by our loving service of one another. When we look not to our own interests but to the interest of others, we are faithfully mirroring in the character of the Son of God who lived us and gave himself for us.
