This Weekend in Worship
Preaching: Pastor Steve Knudson
Sermon: "To Say a Good Word"
Focusing on the Baptismal Promise To Proclaim the Good News of God in Christ through Word and Deed
To be baptized is to be given a purpose. God’s grace is not simply a private possession, but something to be shared with others. So then, what does it mean to share our faith? To share the Good News? So often we think in terms of what we have, and what someone else does not have. Yet, so often in the Bible, we come across stories where God is already at work in another person’s life. God is already at work in the world outside the church. Do we think of church only as a place to come to? Or might our experience in church, in worship, be a way of preparing us to see God everyplace else we go?
Scriptures: Psalm 95:1-7a; John 4:5-42 NRSV
