June 10-11, 2017

6/2/2017

This Weekend in Worship

Preaching: Pastor Steve Knudson
Sermon: "Building with Living Stones — Mission"
God has built the church for a purpose, to exist for the sake of others. God establishes the church for the sake of God’s mission, to reach out to others in the name of God. The church does not have a mission, rather God has the mission and God’s mission creates the church. God not only sends us out, but Paul reminds us that the very nature of our fellowship, our experience of being in community for the sake of God’s love happens because this is who God is. Christian fellowship is made possible through the triune harmony of Christ's grace, God's love, the Spirit's partnership.
Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 13:11-13; Matthew 28:16-20 NRSV
Special Music: Chapel & Cherub Choirs, Rhapsody Ringers, Adult Choir & Brass all at 9 a.m.!

Renewing God's House Commitment Weekend!

This is an exciting day we have planned for and prayed over!
This weekend we bring forward our capital campaign commitments in a processional offering.
Extra forms will be available in the hymnal racks if you are ready to make your commitment but have misplaced your form.
During the offering, please bring your regular offering, yellow worship attendance slip, and your commitment form forward.
Before or after you worship, join us in a celebration brunch downstairs 8 - 11 a.m.
