Sermon: “Speaking the Truth in Love”
It's hard for a person to give difficult news to others yet this is what prophets and preachers are routinely called to do.  Pastor Steve has a saying that there is a reason the prophet lived outside of the city walls!  No one really liked them or what they had to say.  In some ways you can't be prophetic when you're called to pastor a people. Being a prophet is a specific job, but an important one.  Pastoral Interns serve as sort of an outside voice for us. As we say good-bye to Intern Michelle, we thank her for the ways in which, like Jeremiah, she has stretched us and helped us grow by speaking the truth to us in love.

Saying Goodbye to Intern Michelle – At all services this weekend we will have a Service of Sending for Intern Michelle who is wrapping up her year with us. A reception will be held between Sunday Morning Services at 10 a.m.
