This Weekend in WorshipPreaching: Pastoral Intern Kirsten Wee
Sermon Synopsis: Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee. He met Simon Peter and Andrew. He called them to drop their nets and to follow him. Jesus also met James and John and called them to also drop their nets and follow him. We are called to  follow Jesus into a public ministry to proclaim the good news that Jesus walks with us and suffers as we suffer.

Scriptures: Isaiah 9:1-4; Matthew 4:12-23 NRSV

Special Music: 5 p.m.: Cherub Choir
9 a.m.: Adult Choir

10:15 a.m. Sunday Morning Learning

Learn about your chance to travel the Footsteps of the Apostle Paul
This Sunday, Jan. 26 at 10:15 a.m. our Retired Pastor, Dan Kolander will be back this weekend to talk about a trip to Greece he will lead this fall, September 5-16. You can experience Greek history and culture and learn more about early Christianity as you visit some of the places associated with the missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul. This tour includes many meaningful sites and will bring the Bible alive, and you will also be able to relax as you cruise beautiful areas like Santorini and Mykonos – it should be a truly inspirational vacation! Can't be at the session? Contact Lori Nietert at Travel Leaders/Destinations Unlimited 319-393-1359.
“By Heart” a course of Lutheran Basics is taking place during the 10:15 a.m. Sunday Morning Learning Time  now through Feb. 9. This study, born out of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation movement, combines the writings of some of today’s brightest Lutheran minds and Martin Luther’s original small catechism.
