Renewing God's House
Neighborhood Focus Group HostingThe purpose of the neighborhood focus group meeting is for members of First Lutheran to gather with other members in the neighborhood to talk about the future of the congregation. This meeting will last about 90 minutes in total. There will be a brief time for refreshments and 60-75 minutes for meeting. |
Role of Neighborhood Host:
The role of the host is to open your house to 8-10 people who are members of First Lutheran and who live in your general area. The host will provide coffee and a cookie or bar for those who attend. The host will determine the date and time for a neighborhood meeting. People will sign-up at church to attend. Attendance at any gathering will be limited to what host home is able to hold. The conversation will be led by a team of trained facilitators who are members of First Lutheran. Pastor Knudson will attend as many neighborhood focus group meetings as possible. The neighborhood host will have no responsibilities for leading the discussion, just providing a place of welcome for others. |
Scheduling Neighborhood Focus Group Meetings:
Neighborhood Focus Meetings will be scheduled at time convenient for host, between Wednesday, October 21 and Sunday, December 6. It is suggested that neighborhood gatherings be held in the evening or a weekend. Those willing to host will be contacted by the church office to secure a specific date and time.
