At the end of last spring, when Confirmation was wrapping up, we sent out a survey regarding the Confirmation Ministry. One of the questions related to the use of our blog as a follow up to the teachings at Confirmation on Wednesday nights.
While some of the responses said they used the blog 1-2 times a month, many said they had never used the blog. Some of the reasons for not using the blog, made a lot of sense, like "I have good communication with my youth about what they are learning and studying in Confirmation." Other reasons were reasonable as well like "too busy", or "not sure what a blog is." Our blog posts are meant for families to use in a short time. We use the Faith 5 format, Share, Read, Talk, Pray, Bless. (Everything is written out for you!) Whether you do the whole thing, or just the highs and lows, you at least have a format that will become easier to use as you continue to use it throughout the weeks and months to come! With three different classes, studying three different lessons, it will be a bit more tricky to write things specific to each grade, but we will try to pull out some highlights you can talk with your child about. As always, if you have some thoughts or ideas surrounding the blog, let me know! I'm always open to the conversation of making this tool of better use to our families.
