What are your thoughts on God?
To say “I believe” is to affirm the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith: that God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth; that Jesus is God’s only Son, our savior; that the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirits makes us one with God and each other. However, to affirm these things is more than just saying “I believe.” It is to trust these beliefs with the larger church.
Which of these statements are important to you?
o God created everything that exists.
o God created variety and diversity in all of creation.
o People are made in God’s image and can reflect God’s characteristics in their lives.
o God is constantly working on my behalf and wants me to have a meaningful life.
o God is willing to go to great lengths to give me a full life.
o God listens to my prayers.
o God communicates to me through the Bible, in worship and by various signs and wonders.
o God works with imperfect people to bring about God’s kingdom.
o God wants to have a personal relationship with me.
