We hope you can enjoy this week off from our normal class schedule. Below is a short devotion to read through as a family and discuss. You can use this around the dinner table, in the van/car, or waiting in line. Use it whenever you are together with your youth to bring more meaning to the Confirmation process! ![]() As you look back over the first few months of Confirmation Ministry, what has been the best part? What hasn't been the best part? ![]() Read Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (NRSV) 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. 5 You shall love the Lordyour God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.6 Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. 7 Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, 9 and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. ![]() Do you think it is important to talk about what we are doing at Confirmation at home, on the road, when you're in bed and in the morning? Why or why not? How can you as a family continue to connect Faith @ Home in the coming weeks? Pick one activity and try it for a week. ![]() Almighty God, you have taught us in your Son that love fulfills the law. Inspire us to love you with all our heard, our soul, our mind and our strength, and teach us how to love our neighbor as ourselves, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. AMEN. ![]() (Name), you are a Child of God! As you say this blessing, mark the cross on each others foreheads.
