Join the Workshop on Saturday, March 10, 9-11 a.m. in the Chapel

What is Bible Art Journaling?
Bible art journaling is a spiritual practice that helps us engage with Scripture through art. It involves choosing a passage and gently reading it several times while highlighting the words and phrases that stand out. You might choose a key verse or theme and let it be the inspiration for what you draw in the margins of your Bible or in your journal. It’s a great way to get Scripture inside our hearts and minds.
Do I have to be an artist?
No, you do not have to be an artist. Bible art journaling is not about the art, it's about the process. Your work can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it. The “Be Still and Know” drawing (above) was made with four basic materials: pencil, eraser, colored pencil and lettering pen.

What if I'm not comfortable marking in my Bible?
Chances are you have probably marked in your Bible at some point. Just underlining a passage is making a mark. But if you are still not comfortable, you don't have to draw in your Bible. A favorite journal will work just fine.
What do I need to know to learn this spiritual practice?
On Saturday, March 10, Jennifer Zach who has a love for God and a creative spirit will offer a workshop on Bible Art Journaling in our Chapel.
