#30daysofgratitude
Gratitude is a profound spiritual practice. Our fall campaign, “First, We Give of Ourselves: Giving in Gratitude” will help us hit the pause button on our busy lives and count God’s many blessings as a faithful response to God’s giving of Jesus Christ and the grace-filled life that comes through Him. Beginning on October 20 and culminating on Celebration Weekend Nov. 18, we invite you to connect with a spirit of gratitude in your life in the following ways:
Give Thanks in Bible StudyJoin Intern Michelle Schultz in a gratitude-
based Bible Study at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays Oct. 21, and Nov. 4 in Room 315. Give Thanks in a JournalKeep a “Gratitude Journal” for the 30
Days of Gratitude challenge. If you aren’t on social media online, pick up one of the free 60-page journals we will have available on Oct. 20-21 and write about something you are thankful for everyday. |
Give Thanks on Social MediaWe challenge you to post daily from Oct. 20 to Nov. 18 on your favorite social network with something big or small for which you are thankful. Be sure to tag us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with #30daysofgratitude and @firstlutherancr.
Here’s something to think about: What would you do if you woke up tomorrow morning and all you had is what you thanked God for yesterday?! Giving thanks connects our vulnerability with God’s generosity.
