Sit with Psalm 30 for a while. Pray through it. Relax into it. Pay attention to the last half of verse 5—“weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” In this season of lessening light, we look for the light of God.
In a time of loss and grief, this psalm directs us to the promise: God waits with us with hope for the future.
This Psalm reminds us that the theme of Renewing God’s People directs us to the power and promise of God to renew. We experience hope and renewal in surprising ways through God.
