Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshop
Saturday, April 23, First Lutheran Church will host a Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshop from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. (Registration begins at 8 a.m.) This half-day, three-session workshop is designed to help congregations catch a vision for strengthening their caring ministry through equipping laypeople as caregivers.
During this event, participants will also develop caregiving skills they can use right away. This is a great way for learning more about the Stephen Ministry program and begin to discern if you would like to participate in the program at FLC. First Lutheran Church’s members can attend the event without cost, but you do need to register with the church no later than April 9.
Schedule of Sessions:
SESSION 1: Ministering to
Those Experiencing Grief
An Introduction to Stephen Ministry
SESSION 3: How to Care
in a Distinctively Christian Way
