Sept. 19: Mayor Ron Corbett,  9:30 a.m. in the Choir Room

Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett will speak about the medical mall going up next door to us, other medical corridor developments, and what these things might mean for the city in general, and for our congregation in particular, as we find ourselves right in the center of the corridor.    Please join us as we seek to grow in our understanding of the community to which God has called us and begin to think about how we are called to minister in this place.

Sept. 26: Ted Townsend, President and CEO of St. Luke’s Hospital  9:30 a.m. in the Choir Room.

Mr. Townsend will be present with us to talk in more detail about the plans for the medical mall that will be going up next door to us and the perspective St. Luke’s Hospital brings to the medical mall and the whole medical district.  This will be an opportunity to see and hear firsthand what will be going up next to us and to begin to get a sense of how we might continue to live as good neighbors.
